In Caper, players form a team of Thieves by playing Thieves Cards and Equipment Cards. The game consists of 6 rounds, with Thieves cards played in odd rounds and Equipment cards played in even rounds. During a Thieves Round, players place different Thieves at the Locations. During an Equipment Round, players place Equipment Cards on their Thieves to increase their influence over a specific Location. After playing a card, the players switch hands - so think carefully about whether you want to give your opponent that one card.
The team of Thieves with the most Capers in a Location will receive the Reward associated with that Location. Some Thieves and Equipment cards contain special Skills that can help players earn extra Points. Players can also collect different types of Stolen Goods that will earn points at the end of the game. Ultimately, the player on the Thieves team with the most Points will be the winner.
