Many of Galahad's deeds are described in detail in medieval literature, except one – the ordeal of Merlin, which remained a secret from Galahad. Until recently, a burial mound of an unknown knight was excavated in West Yorkshire. Everything indicated that it was the tomb of the knight Galahad, and in his hands lay the trial of Merlin, who accompanied Galahad to the end of his days.
