Ka Pai – Orokohanga has seven special areas of three connected fields: the crops, the sea and the plants. Each space represents one of the three children; Rongo is the god of crops, Tangaroa the god of the sea and Haumia-TikeTike the god of plants. All three children work together to push father and mother apart by growing crops and plants using water from the sea.
In Ka Pai – Orokohanga, the original rule is canceled when 2 identical symbols are thrown. In this version you may only draw one symbol from one die, unless you draw a symbol in a special field. When you draw a symbol in a field with one of the three colored icons at the top left, you must also draw the other symbol thrown. You draw the second symbol in a field with a frame in the same color as the icon. It is permitted to fill a field that is not adjacent to an already filled in field.
