Captains bend over maps. Shipmates check the mechanical blades. Cooks stock up on extra food. The time of the annual race is approaching. The famous Mississippi race tests the captain's maneuvering skills to the limit, with all the obstacles of the winding river! Passengers stand along the side in their Sunday clothes waiting to be boarded. The steam engines use coal, and that supply is not endless. Will you be the captain who knows how to keep balance best? Will your ship cross the finish line first? Will you become captain of… The Mississippi Queen for a year?

In Mississippi Queen, 2 to 6 players race across the Mississippi with their paddle boat. The aim is to be the first to reach the finish line and pick up two passengers along the way. But that's easier said than done, because speed and coal supplies need to be carefully monitored, just like other players and obstacles in the water.
