Port Royal is back in a beautiful Big Box version. In this game you turn over cards from a deck in search of trading ships. The larger the ship, the greater the treasure on board. But turn over a second ship of the same color and you're done. You use the gold you obtain from a successful exploration to recruit new characters. Sailors help you chase away unwanted ships. Settlers help with expeditions for victory points. Special characters such as damsels or governors provide many other benefits.
This Big Box version contains the base game and the expansion “One More Function Added Then”. In addition, there are two expansions that have never been published in Dutch before, namely “Hijs de Zeilen” and “Het Avontuur Begint”. Thanks to the expansions, Port Royal can now be played against each other, cooperatively or solo. Furthermore, this version of Port Royal features beautiful new artwork.
