Durik enlists his old detective partners – the dwarven alchemist Ulma Grimstone and the mischievous Logan Lashley – in hopes of reliving their glory days. Together they travel to the fearful Fallowhearth. There, instead of clues, they discover necromancy: graveyards without corpses, with footprints leading to the sinister Blind Muir Forest... But the forest is home to more than just the walking dead: between the branches lurks betrayal, a wizard's ally in darkness changed and a shocking plague of giant, murderous monsters.
