Towers & War Machines
Use clever engineers to build ingenious machines that bring death and erect towers with slots for them!
Each player can build towers (located between wall sections) and place war machines on them. There are three types of war machines: cannons, missile batteries, and powerful siege crossbows.
Not only can you use them in the game, greatly increasing your defense potential, but each player also gets a number of upgrade cards to choose from, adding even more variety and replayability to the war machines. For example, one player might prefer to build cannons, but as cheaply as possible, while another might focus on a single, but very powerful, cannon.

Additional Horde types & siege engines
The Mongols have brought some siege engines! Some Hordes cards come with special engines to try and breach your walls. Defend yourself against battering rams, which will breach your walls; catapults, which will hit your archers; and Hordes with siege towers, which will change the way you plan your defenses. They will try to counter your towers and deploy miners to take them down.
New Hordes provide extra replayability and can also be used in base games.

New troops!
Each Clan sends its elite warriors into battle – all Clans have their own unique and extremely powerful soldier! You can upgrade any of your basic soldier types to an elite one. For example, the Snake Clan will upgrade their archers to Chu-Ko-Nu crossbowmen, quickly outpacing their opponents. On the other hand, Dragon Clan, true to their name, will equip some Spearmers with fire lances. Rest assured, they won't be cheap, but recruiting them early in the game will give you a huge advantage over the Hordes (and your opponents).
New generals, advisors, artifacts, and technology trees!

This expansion also brings new Generals, Advisors, and Artifacts to further enhance replayability and allow you to customize your preferred tactics even further.
This expansion also introduces Tech Trees, which create exciting new development opportunities for every clan. These cards allow you to adjust your strategy and invest in Towers, War Machines, or upgraded army units!
