Tikal is the first game in the Mask Trilogy, created by Michael Kiesling and Wolfgang Kramer. It was released in 1999 and won the 'Spiel Des Jahres' prize. 19 years later, Tikal is back, but now with 3D temple pieces instead of cardboard!

In Tikal, players discover the jungle of Guatemala, to be precise, the ancient site of Tikal. The Mask Trilogy works with an 'action point allowance system'. This means that players in Tikal have 10 points to spend on actions each turn. They can excavate temples, dig treasure, build camps, move workers, etc. But the further they excavate a temple, the more points it becomes worth, and therefore the more interesting it becomes for other players. However, you can claim a temple twice per game and thus secure it for the entire game. But at what price? You also discover treasures and possibly force other players to exchange treasures with you in order to create sets.

There are three moments in the game when points are scored, and again at the end of the game. Points are counted for temples and treasures, whoever has the most points wins! We publish the new edition of Tikal in Dutch. Can be ordered in stores, bol.com and our webshop.

In 2022 they came with 5 new games. They have published Sleeping Gods with Tides of Ruin and Dungeons expansions, Bitoku and Luna Capital in Dutch. They also came up with 2 new games: Ice Floes & Foes and Monuments.
