The period 475-221 BCE describes a time of endless wars between seven rival states: Qin, Chu, Qi, Yan, Han, Wei and Zhao. In 221 B.C. these continued together under the Qin dynasty and laid the origins of present-day China. The Yellow and the Yangtze are the two main rivers in this area.
In Yellow & Yangtze you relive this eventful period and lead your dynasty to victory.
You build civilizations by placing tiles with five different leaders, the governor, the soldier, the farmer, the trader and the craftsman. With these leaders you collect their own victory points. At the end of the game, only your weakest category counts. Conflicts arise when civilizations connect on the board. To succeed, players' civilizations must survive these conflicts, calm the peasant uprisings, and grow safely enough to build prestigious pagodas.
