In Lacrimosa Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is dead. His last conscious act on his deathbed was to compose the Lacrimosa part of his Opus Requiem. You, as one of his sponsors, will meet the widow to participate one last time in financing the works of this Austrian genius. You will also reminisce and tell Mozart as much as possible to ensure that she creates the most fantastic image of you when writing her memoirs, so that you will go down in history as Mozart's most important benefactor.<\/p>\n

In Lacrimosa, players take on the role of benefactors of the deceased musician, who contribute their money one last time to the composer's works. During the game you play in two different timelines: the present and the past. In the present, you commission other composers to complete the missing parts of the Requiem. Set in the past, the game takes place in five eras in which you contribute by purchasing new compositions from the composer to sell or exhibit, accompanying him on the various journeys to the most important courts and theaters in Europe, and using the resources collect everything you need to support the musician during his career.<\/p>\n

During the game you play cards from a limited hand that you improve as the game progresses. These cards can be played as actions or as resource generators, and players must optimize their resources and finances to support their best version of the story and their relationship with Mozart.<\/p>\n
