In Splendor you play a diamond dealer. With diamonds you buy cards (such as mines, shops and means of transport). These cards give prestige and victory points, as well as discounts on the purchase of new cards. Once you've collected enough cards, you might even be visited by nobles, which will give you even more victory points. Splendor is a very accessible engine-building game with beautifully designed components. The game has won many awards such as '2014 Golden Geek Board Game of the Year' and was also nominated in the Netherlands for best family game of the year 2015.<\/p>\n
